Anna FitzGerald Guth
I cover the climate crisis in California. As a youngster growing up in Berkeley, I first reported on the climate for my public high school’s newspaper. That sparked my dedication to inclusive, accurate and nuanced science journalism. I earned my B.A. in environmental studies and English from Wesleyan University and my M.S. in science communication from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During my four years as a reporter for the Point Reyes Light, I wrote about rising seas, drought, agriculture, conservation and rural life. My work has also appeared in Science, KQED, Mongabay, Eos and Civil Eats.
